Long Industries Wins Award at Texas Workforce Conference

Award honors local employer for excellence in Texas

San Angelo - Workforce Solutions of The Concho Valley is proud to recognize Long Industries as the region's 2025 Local Employer of Excellence. LONG Industries, Inc.,  accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 28th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 3 - Dec. 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi. Local Workforce Development Boards nominate employers who make a positive impact on workers, the community, and the state through their partnerships with Texas Workforce Solutions.

LONG Industries, Inc., a leader in fabrication and construction services, has demonstrated a deep and sustained commitment to workforce development and community collaboration within the Texas workforce system. With over 30 years of experience, Long Industries has earned a reputation for delivering high-quality, turnkey solutions across a variety of industries, but also for building strong partnerships that strengthen both the workforce and the broader community.

At the heart of LONG Industries' success is its people. The company fosters a culture grounded in teamwork, diversity, and continuous improvement. Every employee is treated as a valuable team member, and contributions are encouraged at all levels. LONG Industries believe that talent is not limited to any single background or path — they actively seek out hardworking individuals across the Concho Valley who bring passion and results to their roles. This inclusive and empowering approach creates a dynamic workplace where employees thrive, and the company excels.

A key figure in LONG Industries’ success in workforce collaboration is Brandon O’Neill, based at the Carlsbad, TX location. Brandon exemplifies what it means to be a community partner. He actively engages with the local workforce team by attending all hiring events, job fairs, and career days. He utilizes the Work In Texas platform to post opportunities and connect with job seekers quickly and efficiently. Brandon also frequently attends local high schools recruiting events, inspiring and informing students about career pathways in the skilled trades and beyond. His outreach efforts have empowered young Texans to take the first steps in meaningful careers, setting them up for success, while aligning perfectly with the Texas Workforce mission.

Through these initiatives, LONG Industries has a measurable impact on the regional labor market, offering well-paying jobs, enhancing skills development, and supporting other employers by setting a high standard of partnership and collaboration. Their approach serves as a model for how private-sector employers can actively engage with workforce development programs to drive real change.

For these reasons, LONG Industries, Inc. is a standout candidate for the Local Employer of Excellence Award. Their efforts are not only improving lives today but also building a stronger, more resilient workforce for generations to come.

“The Employer of Excellence award is a well-earned recognition for outstanding contributions to both the community and the Texas economy,” said TWC Chairman Joe Esparza. “From job creation to workforce innovation, Long Industries is a model for a growing and thriving business in Texas.”
