Teacher Externship

Teacher Externship Program

Concho Valley Workforce Development Board and ESC Region 15 Service Center are excited to offer Teacher Externship experiences in June 2026.

A teacher externship is an immersive professional development experience designed to connect modern industry practice and current workplace skills to quality classroom instruction. This initiative establishes a unique partnership between educators and regional employers that works to help students connect classroom learning to real world application. Through the externship experience educators are able to enrich their curriculum with relevant knowledge and design a more robust educational experience.

This exciting opportunity will build lasting partnerships between schools and employers that will continually bring energetic, refreshing insights to instruction.   Initiatives such as the Teacher Externship program strengthen and build connections that are vital to the development of a strong, responsive regional workforce.
