San Angelo Workforce Solutions of The Concho Valley is proud to recognize Long Industries as the region's 2025 Local Employer of Excellence. LONG Industries, Inc., accepted the award at the Texas Workforce Commission's (TWC) 28th Annual Texas Workforce Conference held Dec. 3 - Dec. 5, 2025, in Corpus Christi.
Omar enrolled in the WIOA Adult Program to earn his CDL at Howard College and quickly turned training into results. After earning his license in January 2026, he secured full-time employment within two weeks and is now building a stable career in the transportation industry.
Patrick’s journey demonstrates how determination, training, and opportunity can transform a life. He enrolled in the CDL training program at Howard College, stayed committed to learning, and successfully earned his Commercial Driver’s License along with industry credentials. Shortly after, he secured a CDL driver position with M and W Electrical LLC, moving directly from training into full-time employment. His story underscores how workforce training and career-focused education can create meaningful personal and professional growth.
Tequil turned a setback into opportunity by pursuing his long-time goal of earning a CDL through the WIOA Dislocated Worker Program. He completed CDL training at Howard College and received multiple job offers, ultimately choosing a position with Caron Transportation.
