THINGS TO REMEMBER.......

CCS Rights and Responsibilities

Reporting Changes

Families that are currently receiving services are required to report changes such as a loss of job, training, or education of activity; a change of address, email, or phone number; any change to the family size; or change in income that exceeds the income limit or if your change in income will reduce your parent share of cost.  Please login to your KinderConnect account to let Child Care Services know about your changes.  (Please remember that changes must be reported within 14 calendar days of the change.)

Transfers

Families that request to transfer their child(ren) from one child care facility to another must begin the process at least two weeks advance. Notice of the transfer should be provided to the the original provider and Child Care Services.  During this waiting period, child care services may continue at the original provider.  For more information about CCS program provider transfers, visit https://www.childcare.texas.gov/forfamilies/child-care-scholarships

*Exceptions to the 2 week notice requirement may be approved by CCS on a case-by-case basis. An example of an exception would be if the child's safety is in jeopardy.

Attendance Reporting

It’s important for all children in the CCS program to regularly attend and report attendance. Families are required to sign their child(ren) in and out every day.  All CCS providers have attendance rules.
