What is Concho Valley SPARK? Strengthening Professional Abilities and Real World Knowledge. This is a special annual event designed to bridge the gap between education and the workforce. Together employers and community partners will provide high school students a unique opportunity for interactive career exploration with the experts.
Why should my organization participate in SPARK? This event is an investment in Texas’ future workforce! You are offering an interactive environment where students can learn, explore, and receive valuable resources to make informed decisions. By showcasing the most exciting aspects of their professions, employers and community partners play a pivotal role in what happens after high school. Be a part of the numerous organizations invited to be there!
What is the difference between a job fair and SPARK? A job fair is all about hiring — but SPARK is about inspiring! At SPARK, high school students get to explore industries up close through interactive displays, real-world tools, and hands-on technology. Organizations are not recruiting — they are showcasing the exciting possibilities that careers in their fields can offer. It is a chance to spark new interests and future career dreams!
Why should my school participate? Although schools do frequently host individual career fairs focused on locally offered CTE programs and employers, this event is unique in that it features organizations from across the 14 career clusters identified by TEA. There is so much being offered all under one roof including student resources and connections to post-secondary education providers and vocational rehabilitation services.
