Shannon entered the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult program with a clear goal: to receive training and obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) to launch a stable and rewarding career in the trucking industry.
Through the support of WIOA, Shannon enrolled in a CDL training program, which he successfully completed on May 20, 2025. Demonstrating strong determination and focus, he secured full-time employment shortly thereafter. On May 30, 2025, he began working as a belly dump truck driver with Reece Albert, putting his new CDL credentials to immediate use.
By achieving both his certification and employment in a short period, Shannon has significantly improved his financial stability. He now has the means to take financial responsibility for himself and support his mother, with whom he resides. His success highlights dedication to personal growth, family responsibility, and career advancement through the opportunities provided by the WIOA program.
